Off the Hook: on the Musical Edge, June 17 – 23, 2013
Music of Sky, Wind, and Stars: Native American Inspirations
We are delighted to announce the second season of Off the Hook: on the
Musical Edge chamber music festival, June 17 - 23. Set in Fort
Collins, Off the Hook is the summer concert series of PYCH: Project
Youth and Chamber Music, a non-profit chamber music program working
with K-12 students in the Poudre School District.
Joining us again this year, Bruce Adolphe, world- renowned composer
will host all festival chamber music concerts and many of our other
events. Programming includes Noon Time children’s and evening chamber
music concerts as well as workshops and master classes for all ages.
Featured artists include soprano, Megan Buness and Baritone, John
Lueck; flutist, Christina Jennings; pianists, Silvana Santinelli,
Alexandra Nguyen and many more!
Off the Hook blends music of today and yesterday in interactive and
thought provoking ways. Concerts will appeal to all ages of audience.
This year’s theme: the influence of Native American and Folksongs on
music. Local thespian and son of an American composer greatly
influenced by Native American themes, Jonathan Farwell, will join
Bruce Adolphe in introducing his father, Arthur Farwell’s, music.

Rocky Ridge Music Center, located at the foot of Longs Peak in Rocky
Mountain National Park, provides a unique opportunity for musical study with
unprecedented individual attention due to the low student to faculty ratio
of 3:1. The mission of RRMC is to nurture the creative, musical, and
personal development of individuals in an inspirational setting. A variety
of camp sessions are available to music
students on all orchestral instruments, piano, voice, and composition.
