KIM WATKINS, PRESIDENT-ELECT OF COLORADO-ASTA

I received my degree in Music Education from University of Northern Colorado I have Suzuki training from Denver University in violin, viola and piano. I have been teaching privately for 35 years (whew, that’s a long time) all levels, but love the beginners probably the most. I started teaching for Douglas County in 1998. I have been one of those traveling teachers that visit three different feeder areas. My last year I was finally in only ONE feeder, Highlands Ranch High School, with FOUR elementaries. I am now retired from public school teaching. I like to have fun playing for Denver Pops Orchestra and gig with various Quartets when they need a violin/viola player. I look forward to working with the Board and members as the President-Elect of Colorado ASTA.
