This is a THREE PART SERIES that will take you from starting a program to as far as you want to go.
Marcia is a very energetic teacher that will captivate you as your fingers learn with guitars how to play “Mariachi.” Learn to teach rhythms and styles of Mariachi. Techniques and styles will be demonstrated so you will be able to learn and demonstrate back to your students. These will be very entertaining sessions that will encourage you to ALL to participate with a guitar as you learn the Mariachi style.

Our amazing bowing duo is back by popular demand. They will be talking and demonstrating: “How do I get the sound I want?” “What was the composer/editor thinking by bowing it this way?” “How do I fix this bow hold?” And many more!!! Bring music you’re having problems with and any other questions you might have.

11:30: Bowing Part 2: Changing Printed Bowings-Let the Bowings Help the Music: Ellen Ravnan & Margaret Miller
Often we wonder why a particular bowing is printed in the part. This session will discuss when to change bowings in solo/orchestra parts to suit the musical ideas. Bring your music you’re having problems with and any other questions you might have.
